What's New On The Farm
November 8, 2020: We are excited to welcome a sweet weanling heifer, Beyond Hope Josephine (aka JoJo), to our fold today! She is an AI out of Orison of Culfoich and We Tired Juliette. Thank you, again, Melinda and Maryn Cowell from Beyond Hope Farms. We had a wonderful visit!

July 17, 2020: Thank you to Tony Vang from Cambridge, MN, for purchasing RSW Cain for future butcher.
June 6, 2020: Cocoa Bean delivered a 70.4 lb bull calf at around 9:00pm tonight. See Calves page for more info.
May 22, 2020: The newest additions to our farm arrived this morning from Cackle Hatchery. We received 18 turkey chicks in a variety of heritage breeds that consist of Black Spanish, Royal Palm, Bourban Red, Blue Slate and Bronze Heritage. Excited to have turkeys around again!
May 16, 2020: Thank you to Greg and Joann Peterson of Bent Creek Farm for purchasing RSW Abel. He is their first registered highland. We know he will be very happy at their farm!
May 2, 2020: Thank you to Bert and Cynthia Smith for purchasing our bottle steer calf, RSW Samuel, for their family pet. He will be getting lots of love at his new home, along with being reunited with Little John.
April 25, 2020: Thank you to Bert and Cynthia Smith for their purchase of our yearling steer, Little John, for their family pet.
April 18, 2020: At 3:25am Elsa delivered a silver bull calf weighing in at 70.4 lbs at 13 days overdue.
April 14, 2020: Calving season has begun! At 12:10am Cocoa delivered a 95 lb dun bull calf. Check out our Calves page for the newest additions to our farm.
December 14, 2019: We welcomed U Rock Cocoa Bean to our fold yesterday. Thank you to Mike and Katie Parish of U Rock Ranch for this beautiful girl and also for meeting us part way to do the transfer! Her sire is Stetson Ruadh of U Rock and dam is Taffy Bean of U Rock. Cocoa Bean comes from the well-known lines of Bart of Benmore, Philip 1st of Hi-Arrow, Gusgurlach of Windrush, and Du Boise Lecoq. She has been AI'd to Sunset Limited Edition for a 2020 calf.
October 12, 2019: Thank you to Jeff and Kim Johnson of Birch Lake Farms for their purchase of RSW Merida and Gray Owl's Breena this morning. The weather isn't the best, but we appreciate them driving up anyway.
August 20, 2019: I updated several pictures as well as our For Sale page. Our garden is doing pretty well and we have been busy canning.
August 7, 2019: Cora-Lee delivered a 71 lb bull calf , RSW Abel, at about 5:00 pm this afternoon. He was up quickly, ready to nurse. Mama and baby are doing great! See picture and info on the Calves page.
August 6, 2019: Updated a couple pages. All of the kittens have found new homes as well.
July 21, 2019: Updated a few pages this afternoon. We finally got 1st cutting of hay done.
July 13, 2019: Sophie's kittens are 6-weeks-old today. There are 2 females and 2 males still available. They will be ready to go to their new homes August 1. For more info, see our For Sale page.
July 1, 2019: We welcomed Stewart's Elsa and her steer calf to our fold today. Thank you to Josh Krenz from Windland Flats! We had a nice visit and enjoyed seeing his farm. You can see pictures and info on each of these on the Dams and Calves pages.
June 6, 2019: Ashley, our second outside cat, had 4 kittens tonight. They will be available to go to their new homes after August 8.
June 1, 2019: Sophie, one of our outside cats, had 5 kittens early this morning. They will be ready to go to their new homes after August 1.
May 10, 2019: We got our new baby chicks this morning, 39 total in 10 different breeds, from Cackle Hatchery in Lebanon, MO. We have been happy with the hatchery and would recommend them to anyone. Looking forward to when they start laying this fall!
April 9, 2019: RSW Cain, a red bull calf, was born to Cocoa at about 2:25 am. He weighed in at 80 lbs. Go to our Calves page for more info and pictures.
March 17, 2019: We welcomed CSF Dahlia to our fold. Check her out on our Heifers page. Thank you to Mark, Randi and Joe Johnson from Climbing Stump Farm! We enjoyed seeing their place and visiting with them.
